Yawarra currently has over 50 computers available for student use. Every class has internet access and access to the schools own network and intranet. All teachers have been undergoing training in the use of common Microsoft software.

Yawarra Primary School is the only school in the Eastern Metropolitan Region that is an Active Australia School. This recognises the excellence of Yawarra's Health, Sport and Physical Education Programs. We have also recently become recognised as an Accredited Performance and Development School.

Kidcare operates within the school and also runs holiday programs. It provides an enjoyable and stimulating out of hours program and also offers wonderful sports clinics and holiday activities. Kidcare operates in a safe, friendly environment with qualified staff.

Enrolling

Children who reach the age of five years on or before April 30 may commence school in February of that year. It is advisable to discuss with the Kindergarten teacher the readiness of your child to begin school, especially if your child's birthday falls near April 30. Yawarra offers a Kindergarten to Prep Transition Program, which we will be running again in Term 3 - download information here.

The following procedures must be completed when enrolling your child:

• complete the general admission form that is available from the office manager
• provide proof of your child's age (eg: Birth Certificate, Health Centre Booklet)
• complete the Confidential Student Information Form
